We have decided the safest way to have a fashion themed fundraiser was from the comfort of our supporters’ homes. In May 2024 we designed the special Fashion For CH.I.L.D. Home Edition 3.0 program and mailed it to previous remote and in-person participants. These programs had a familiar look and contained glamourous photos of Urbanity models as well as eight new prize packages, all of which were kindly donated. These included deluxe hotel stays in Vancouver and Whistler, a 60-minute technical facial at the Derma Bright Clinic, a Hastings Racing and Casino Package, and a $200 gift card for Urbanity Fashion Boutique. Donations were appreciated but not required to enter and we are very pleased to announce that we raised thousands of dollars in donations, exceeding last year’s total!

Fashion for CH.I.L.D. Luncheon and Fashion Show 2018 — Fairmont Hotel Vancouver
The 13th Annual Fashion for CH.I.L.D. luncheon took place at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver on Wednesday, May 2nd. LeslieJane provided the fashions showcased by the lovely Lizbell models who were readied by the talents of the Blanche MacDonald Centre.

History of Fashion for CH.I.L.D.
The Fashion Show for CH.I.L.D. was held each May in Vancouver with a Gala Luncheon and Presentation of the CH.I.L.D. Foundation Inspiration Award. Each year features a beautiful show by that year’s fashion representative.
The CH.I.L.D. Foundation Inspiration Award is presented to women who inspire us all to become better, more involved citizens through their dedicated efforts on behalf of special needs children, and the warm, uplifting consideration they extend to everyone they meet.
Inspiration Award Recipients are: Diana Webster, Joy Metcalfe, Vivian Walker, Karilyn Walker, Barbara Stewart, Jacqui Cohen, Kasondra Cohen, Theresa Odishaw and Major Miriam Merritt, Carrie Gelson, Carolyn Tuckwell, Tamara Taggart. and Marie Doduck.
